Poetry written by Marini Barika Facey
Darn the holes
in the socks of my soul,
where people tried to wear 'em
and make 'em old.
Love has violently torn fears
from the socket of my heart,
and every wire and cord
that came from doubt's mouth,
to entangle, strangle and destroy,
are severed and wildly cut to pieces by peace's sword.
Love sees...
and delves into the depths of me.
Hope is born
in the pockets of my being
and I am radiantly renewed;
it engraves on the locket of my depths,
I am yours and you are mine.
