FRIEND or FOE-mi-LIAR?

We seriously need to look at fear the way it should be looked at, as a pest! Some may say that they aren't bothered by rodents and insects, and that they don't really care if they are around.
What if there were thousands of rats running around in the walls of your home?
Spiders...
Ants...
Fill in the blank...
If we look at fear from this perspective, we wouldn't allow it anywhere near us, because it brings along annoying friends. When we see fear for what it is, we can render it powerless by doing what Eleanor Roosevelt said, "Do one thing everyday that scares you."
process, gnaws on our thoughts, and willfully taunts us. That is not the
definition of a friend! We must not quietly surrender or make a silent
alliance with fear, hoping it will stay at bay and not cross our borders,
because it lies; it twists everything and ruins anything good by warping
our perspective.
Love isn't fear, so why are we so afraid?
If we see love as a nemesis, we are missing out on so much life, because it is the key that brings fear captive. Love can come into our relationships and bring clarity, whereas fear only brings along pests like confusion, insecurity, doubt and misunderstanding.
Perfect love drives out/casts out fear because fear causes torment...
How do you see fear? Is it your friend or foe?
